UCC 1 – Avondale Utd 1
An entertaining game at the Mardyke on Tuesday night saw both teams earn a point and keep their title chances alive. UCC created a couple of chances in the first half but couldn’t convert and Avondale took the lead against the run of play with a header from a free kick. UCC kept their heads up and continued to battle for the entire game. They earned a draw in injury time with a free kick played low into the box. The ball pin-balled around before Midfielder Connor Barry poked the ball home with what turned out to be the last kick of the game.
